Teaching my Trojan Academy kids team self defence & independence

Showing them the incredible value of being able to do things for themselves, like tying their own Jiu Jitsu belts (not easy😉)

Independence is such a impactful piece of the puzzle of young peoples lives.

Independence is often missing through the privilege of living in an era where we love them so much we are willing to do everything for them.

I know for me & lots of you.. Back in the 80’s & 90’s we were generally fully capable of managing ourselves because that’s just how it was back then

I would disappear for hours & hours & manage to survive (not completely avoid) all kinds of hazards.

In my opinion.. Love young people infinitely but provide them the tools to stand for themselves❤️😉
